March 2014 Dividend Income

Dividend_Income_MoneyEnd of March is here and I am glad it is behind us. I say this because I live near Chicago, IL and this weather has been miserable. I am becoming more inclined to pack up my belongings and move to Florida any minute now. I say this because I am much more of a slippers type of guy anyways. Though, I can not say that for sure yet, but we will see what the future brings.

At least the dividend income has been significantly greater this month. This was primarily due to a few of my current holding companies increasing their dividend payouts as well as past acquisitions providing me more shares. I received a total of $266.47 for this month of March through 18 different companies. Β Nice chunk of change. It literarily feels like I am climbing stairs month after month with this strategy. It is also becoming much more lucrative income than I originally expected.

    DV,

Not trying to gloat, but Florida has been absolutely stunning this winter. It’s mostly been 80 degrees with blue skies…like it was today. No state income taxes is the icing on the cake. However, I miss my family back in Michigan a lot and sometimes think about going back.

Congrats on the fantastic month of dividend income. Indeed, it’s just like climbing stairs, and the door at the top is freedom! πŸ™‚

    Keep up the great work.

    Best wishes.

      DM,

Oh man! That is ideal weather right there. I like consistency in my life, where I can exercise regularly outside. I just enjoy being in nature greatly and would prefer being out and about everyday. Since coming back to Chicago from active duty, I have noticed this place just shuts down during winter and fall months and falls into some sort of hibernating trance. It forces you to stay inside for 8-9 months. Some people like it, but not my way of living life.

Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. I have laid down the ground work, and it is reaping the rewards on daily basis. I have my work cut out though.

      Love the ending analogy!

      Thanks for stopping by.

Solid month DV! The best part about a DG strategy is the constant encouragement of steadily increasing dividend payments. Essentially a built in quarterly psychological boost!

Crappy weather or no, definitely a fan of Chicago from when I was a kid and lived nearby. I try and get back there whenever an opportunity presents itself.

Hey, thank you so much. You got that right, dividend income is a silent motivator that produces surging performance. Puts a smile on my face. Ear to ear baby!

Downtown Chicago is whole different world and it is amazing in summer time. People exercising, walking and doing all kinds of imaginable activities on the lakefront. I wish it could stay like that forever, but it does not. This is why I am so fond of Florida, beach life all year round. Ah…

Congrats on your biggest monthly payout. I hope it gets warmer where you are at. California has been in a drought but the recent rain has been helpful.

Thanks Richie. Dividend income has definitely boosted my morale.

Yeah, I have read Cali has been getting hit with droughts and a few earthquakes just recently. Hope this extreme weather can slow down a bit. I am sure it is leaving its mark on many people.

Congrats on the dividend income, well done! Weather here in the Netherlands has been awesome last month, you should think about migrating πŸ˜‰

I appreciate it. Yeah, I heard the whole Europe was much warmer this year. Though, I am not sure about changing continents. Netherlands is a very nice country and would love to visit someday.

      Thanks for stopping by

Congrats on the dividend income, DV.

Weather here is miserable as well (Ottawa, Canada) and we had a freak snowstorm on the weekend dumping 1/2 a ft of snow, but this week looks better and the weather is improving. Good riddance to winter!

    Best wishes

      Thank you.

Oh dam my regards on the snow. I wish we could capitalize somehow due to this snow and cold weather. Though weather is so unpredictable, especially now a days.
