February 2014 Dividend Income

It is that time of the month where I can officially report my numbers. I enjoy doing this as I have gained a better understanding of how much capital is coming in every month. I received a total of 9 direct deposits in the month of February, and it is a nice chunk of change. It is also the biggest payout ever in a single month by a few dollars when compared to my December 2013 dividend income. Also, last February 2013 I only made $55.60 which is 386% improvement to current month dividend payout. That is tremendous improvement year over year!

Some interesting news came out from ARCP holding which gave their shareholders a special dividend on top of the regular dividend. That resulted receiving two dividend payouts, one on the 11th and the other on 15th of February. I am a huge fan of special dividends, they are like an unexpected surprise presents in a form of cash. Who doesn’t love cash? Big thumbs up to ARCP!

I will continue reinvesting my monthly savings every single month into quality dividend paying companies. Money is currently tight and stock market is somewhat volatile, but that will not stop me from investing. I have built my portfolio into pretty stable money churning machine, which will be spitting money month in and month out. Here are the payouts.

  • AT&T, Inc. (T) – $47.14
  • General Mills, Inc. (GIS) – $9.19
  • Verizon Communications, Inc. (VZ) – $11.13
  • American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (ARCP) – $41.06
  • Apple, Inc. (AAPL) – $12.43
  • Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) – $15.20
  • Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) – $46.85
  • Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) – $23.52
  • Realty Income Corp. (O) – $8.64

Total  – $215.16

Nice strong month DV! The special dividend from ARCP was a nice surprise after their finalization of the Cole acquisition.

Thanks brother, ARCP has done a spectacular job so far with regular dividends as well as this past special dividend payout. As a part owner yourself I am sure you enjoyed a nice little surprise yourself huh. =)

Definitely didn’t complain about that bump! I actually saw it was happening a little bit before it happened when I read a press release by them. I was pretty pumped given I’d just doubled down the month before (and in the $12’s no less)!
